Hurricane Nate continues racing off to the NW at 22mph. At his current speed he will make landfall sometime before midnight tonight. Below is the current forecast track from the NHC
Nate has a few more hours to strengthen further before landfall . Currently , its still an asymmetrical storm with the strongest winds to the east of the center. Most models keep nate as a strong cat 1 hurricane although a few do tske him to cat 2 strength .
Nate will have big impacts once he moves inland . Winds will be strong enough to bring down trees and power lines across Alabama and Georgia. Here are the current watches and warnings
