After last nights severe weather across parts of the southeast , today turned out to be a beautiful day across the region. Sunny skies and cooler temperatures are common across most of the southern United States . That general theme looks to carry into Thursday as well . However there could be a little higher coverage of scattered showers tomorrow especially across the western parts of the region .
By Friday, a system off to the west will start to slowly approach the southeast bringing rain and thunderstorms to places like Texas, Oaklahoma , Arkansas and Louisiana. Those locations will have the better chance of severe weather over the next 4 days . Below is the SPC day 3 outlook

The storms Saturday could be severe with damaging wind and large hail. The tornado threat isn’t very high howerver it’s NOT zero either. The storms should start to weaken late Saturday night .
